With the news that the Grouse Grind opened early this year, this seems like a good time to remind people they could be raising money for sick kids every time they do the Grind.
Grind for Kids is a fundraising program in its sixth year that benefits the B.C. Children’s Hospital Foundation. People who sign up ask friends, family and co-workers to pledge $1 or more for every Grouse Grind they do until the end of the season, which is usually September. In the past years, the Grind for Kids program has raised nearly $670,000 for Children’s Hospital.
Participants pay a $20 registration fee, which gets them an official Grind Timer from Grouse Mountain and gives them access to a personal donation page. They will also be eligible for fundraising prizes.
As a bonus feature this year, Canadian Pacific will be matching every dollar raised through its CP Has Heart initiative!
